Diaper Dash – 5K race around Lake Harriet
Saturday, August 24 at 9am, Check in at 8:30am
Small, Scenic race. Friendly competition. Hosted by families. Free food and Drink. Good Cause. Babies need diapers.
The Diaper Dash individual race and the Baby Bottle relay both begin at 51st & Irving. The race follows the wooded, creek path to Lake Harriet’s South Beach(.6 miles). Participants in the individual event will continue around the lake(2.8 miles) counter clockwise and return back to the initial starting line via the creek. Participants of the relay(two or three runners required) will follow same path as the individual race. South Beach is the hand off point for the relay. Total race distance: 4 miles
Prizes for age categories for solo race. Diaper Queen. Diaper King(age 30 and up) Diaper Guy. Diaper Girl(age 18-30) Diaper Dude. Diaper Chick(age 12-18) Prizes for Relay team winner and most creative team name. Free t-shirts to first 50 participants day of race.
All proceeds will help provide diapers to families in need through Tapestry Pregnancy and Family Resource Center (formerly Southside Life Care Center.)
**First 50 people to arrive the day of the race will receive a FREE Diaper Dash t-shirt.
